The thermoelectromotive force and electrical resistivity of thepolycrystalline hafnium (Hf) with the grain size of 10 {\mu}m during theprocess of plastic deformation in the regime of creep at the temperature of 300K are precisely measured. It is shown that the thermoelectromotive forcedepends on the deformation mechanism nature, because of the changing magnitudeof the electrons scattering on the different structural defects in the hafniumcrystal lattice at the deformation process. The main research conclusion isthat the method of thermoelectromotive force measurements is more informative,comparing to the method of electric resistivity measurements in the process ofaccurate characterization of the hafnium.
