We study a general class of nonlinear second-order variational inequalitieswith interconnected bilateral obstacles, related to a multiple modes switchinggame. Under rather weak assumptions, using systems of penalized unilateralbackward SDEs, we construct a continuous viscosity solution of polynomialgrowth. Moreover, we establish a comparison result which in turn yieldsuniqueness of the solution.
