Present work is an attempt to compare quantum discord and quantumentanglement of Werner states formed with the four bipartite entangled coherentstates (ECS) used recently for quantum teleportation of a qubit encoded insuperposed coherent state. Out of these, two based on maximally ECS are exactlysimilar to the perfect Werner state, while the rest two, based on non-maximallyECS, which are called quasi-Werner states behave in somewhat different ways andtheir quantum discord and entanglement depends on the coherent amplitude andthe measurement basis.
