The article describes interesting nonlinear differential identities satisfiedby standard exponential and trigonometric functions, which appeared asbyproducts of medical imaging research. They look like some kind ofnon-commutative binomial formulas. A brief description of the origin of theseidentities is provided, as well as their direct algebraic derivation. Relationswith separate analyticity theorems in several complex variables and some openproblems are also mentioned.
