The effect of density dependent symmetry energy on nuclear-stopping isstudied using isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model(IQMD). We haveused the reduced isospin-dependent cross-section with soft(S) equation of statefor the systems having different isostopic content, to explore the variousaspects of nuclear stopping. The aim is to pin down the nature of the nuclearstopping with density dependent symmetry energy. Nuclear stopping is found tobe sensitive towards the various forms of the density dependent symmetryenergy. The nuclear stopping tends to decrease for the stiffer equation ofstate (EOS), i.e. larger values of gamma.
