We show that OPERA recent results showing an apparent superluminal velocityof muonic neutrinos can find a very simple explanation without any measurementerror or any strange physics. Namely, it is enough that the beam compositionvaries during the leading and the trailing edges to explain an apparent timeshift in the detected neutrinos. The order of magnitude of the shift will bethe relative variation of the average cross-section times the rising/decayingtime, and even a modest change in the composition of the beam could produce theobserved effect.
