A series of ten plant species belonging to Magnoliopsida - Dicotyledons classwere analyzed in terms of chemical compounds distribution of abundance,starting from the assumption that these distributions should give a picture ofsimilarities and differences between plants metabolism. From a pool oftheoretical distributions, log-normal distribution was selected giving the bestaccuracy with the modeled phenomena and agreement with the observed data. Fromobtained lognormal distributions statistics a classification were constructedand were compared with the classification based on phylogeny.
