Excitation spectra and neutron single particle configurations of $^{33}$Mgand $^{31}$Ne are investigated by using antisymmetrized molecular dynamicscombined with generator coordinate method. It is shown that both nuclei havestrongly deformed $3/2^-$ ground state with a $3p2h$ configuration. Theexcitation spectra are qualitatively understood in terms of the Nilsson modeland the calculation has shown the coexistence of different intruderconfigurations within small excitation energy. The calculated one neutronseparation energy of $^{31}$Ne is rather small ($S_n=250$ keV) and implies ap-wave one neutron halo with a strongly deformed core.
