Quantitative information on the tensor force induced isospin-dependence ofshort-range nucleon-nucleon correlation (SRC) extracted from recent J-Labexperiments was used in constraining the high-momentum tails of single nucleonmomentum distributions in both symmetric nuclear matter (SNM) and pure neutronmatter (PNM). Its effects on the Equations of State of SNM and PNM as well asthe nuclear symmetry energy are investigated. It is found that the tensor forceinduced isospin-dependence of SRC softens significantly the nuclear symmetryenergy especially at supra-saturation densities.
