In this study, the shear resisting capacity of a single anchor specimen with anchor socket, reinforcement and mortar was evaluated considering the characteristics of the bridge bearing connection and the anchor shear properties due to the horizontal load of an earthquake. In order to confirm the effect of the reinforcing bar (rebar) on anchor performance, the embedment depth variable of anchor socket was set and overall structural behavior of the specimens was verified by changing the height of supporting concrete. The experimental results showed that the shear resistance increased as the embedment depth of the socket increased, and the maximum performance of the anchor was reached when the socket was embedded up to the coping reinforcement according to the construction criteria. By analyzing the strains of the rebar in accordance with the load change, it was confirmed that the required rebar is applied conservatively in the current construction.
