The continuous welded rails (CWR) installed on railway bridges should be checked for the effects of track-bridge interactions. In the case of a concrete track on a bridge, the longitudinal resistance of the track is determined by the longitudinal resistance of the rail fastening system, and the safety of track is assessed by using the longitudinal resistance given in KR C-08080 (track-bridge longitudinal interaction). However, a very conservative design is derived when using the longitudinal resistance values presented in the KR code. Therefore, a longitudinal resistance considering the type of fastening system actually installed should be proposed. In this study, the results of the laboratory tests of the rail fastening system were analyzed and the longitudinal resistance was determined to enable the economic and safe side design, reflecting the statistical characteristics of the resistance.
