A series of new 5-Chloroisatin derivates have been synthesized by the method of N-alkylation at room temperature, in the presence of a base and a catalyst with good yields. The chemical structures of these compounds were confirmed by NMR ( 1 H & 13 C), these new compounds obtained were evaluated for their antibacterial activity. The final results revealed that the majority of the compounds exhibited good antimicrobial activity against various organisms.
