The ability of coconut fibre , saw dust and tea waste to adsorb nicotine, from aqueous solutions has been investigated through batch experiments. The amount of nicotine adsorption as found to be dependent on adsorbent dosage and contact time. All experiments were carried out at a constant, temperature of 30°C. The experimental isotherm were analyzed using the Langmuir and Freundlich sequations. The experiments showed that higher removal rate was shown by coconut fibre than saw dust and tea waste.
