To get an idea about the nature of effect of detergent Surya gold on the biochemical aspects of aquatic organisms,fishes belonging to the species Cirrhinus mrigala were exposed to sublethal concentration of 3.5 mg/L for long term duration.Biochemical characteristics like glycogen,protein and cholesterol were estimated in Liver,Kidney,gills and muscles.The decrease of biochemical constituents from the control were noted.The results are statistically analysed and most values were found to be significant.
