Symmetrical components are very excellent tools for the analysis of three phase unbalanced power system.. In this paper, a software program has been developed in C++ Builder to extract the positive, negative components along with harmonics from the three phase current of a simulated three phase system. This software is user defined. The developed software has been tested on simulated system under balanced, unbalanced, faults and harmonics condition and a satisfactory result have been found.
