Two different topologies of three phase Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) namely 3P3W/ 3P4W UPQC are analyzed. For better performance of UPQC, DC link voltage have to be maintained. If it is energized through solar photovoltaics, a modified UPQC structure employing capacitor midpoint (dual capacitor) is employed to accommodate its dc voltage variation. Simulations are carried out for the above topologies with single and dual capacitor (dc sources) and 3P4W UPQC with dual capacitor at its mid point is found to produce better results.
