Transformers represent the largest portion of capital investment in transmission and distribution substations. In addition, power transformer outages have a considerable economic impact on the operation of an electrical network. The most important parameters governing a transformer's life expectancy is the hot-spot temperature (HST) value and loss of life. Here in this paper by using graphical user interface (GUI) programme we are going to find the hot-spot temperature (HST) with and without harmonics, top oil temperature (TOT) with and without harmonics, efficiency and loss of life. This approach has been made to consider the hot-spot temperature as the sum of the ambient temperature, the top-oil temperature rise in tank. With MATLAB-GUI we are finding the (TOT), (HST), Efficiency and loss of life. This paper is applied on a 220KVA, 20KV, ONAF type
