Since ancient times there have been several variants in the present progressive tense suffix {-yor} in Turkey Turkish dialects due to various reasons. The mentioned phonetic variant in the present progressive tense suffix {-yor} is one of th e most frequently used criteria in the classification of Turkey Turkish dialects. So far there have been many studies on the variants of the present progressive tense suffix in Turkey Turkish dialects. In this article, first of all, the studies focusing on present progressive tense suffix in the classification of Turkey Turkish dialects will be stated and following that the variants of the present progressive suffix in dialects of Ankara will be examined.
