Aryl-14-H-dibenzo(a,i)xanthenes were synthesized efficiently by one-pot reaction of -naphthol, aldehydes and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone in the presence of silica-bonded N-propyl sulfamic acid (SBNPSA) at 120 o C without solvent. All products were characterized by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, MS techniques and elemental analysis.
