The transport properties of a metal core/semiconductor shell quantum dotmolecule (QDM) embedded in a matrix connected to metallic electrodes aretheoretically studied in the framework of Keldysh Green function technique. Theeffects of the electron plasmon interactions (EPIs) on the tunneling currentspectra of QDM are examined. The energy levels of the QDs, intradot andinterdot Coulomb interactions, electron interdot hopping strengths, andtunneling rates of QDs are renormalized by the EPIs. The differentialconductance spectra show peaks arising from the plasmon assisted tunnelingprocess, intradot and interdot Coulomb interactions, and coherent tunnelingbetween the QDs.
