The key factor to determine the success of ignition is the homogeneity of the fuel ice layer inside the capsule in inertial confinement fusion, and the main factor affecting the homogeneity of the fuel ice layer is the temperature uniformity around the capsule. In order to improve the uniformity of the capsule temperature, a directional infrared device is used to realize the local control of the capsule temperature. During the assembly process of the directional infrared device, the assembly error can influence the control effect of the capsule temperature field. A numerical model coupling the directional infrared tracking and temperature field calculation is established and compared with the experimental results to valid the computational accuracy. A three-dimensional physical model of the cryogenic target is used to study the influence of different forms of directional infrared assembly errors on the temperature uniformity of the capsule. The results show that the eccentricity of IR bands axes has the worst effect on the temperature uniformity of the capsule, followed by the effect of the distance between both IR bands, and the width of the IR bands has the least effect on the temperature uniformity of the capsule. Therefore, the eccentricity of IR bands axes should be avoided in the experiment to ensure the uniformity of the temperature of the capsule, which in turn can ensure the homogeneity of the fuel ice layer inside the capsule.
