The iron-base east superaZloys XF-828 and XF-527 are costsaving alternatives to certain cobalt-containing superaLLoys. Alloy XF-818 is intended for appZications requiring good elevated-temperature strength and oxidation resistance up to about 870 C (1600 FJ. Alloy XF-527 is intended for appZieations up to about 980 C (1800 F) that require moderateZy high elevated-temperature strength and good resistance to oxidation and/or hot corrosion. Properties are presented and applications trials are discussed.
