This article consists of an immanent reading of part of the third book Capital, concerning specifically the concept of fictitious capital (fiktives Kapital) and how it is constituted from the financial credit system and what Marx called fictional business (Scheingeschäften). It presents the concept of real virtuality in an attempt to contribute to the comprehension of the global process of capitalist production, and its fetishist movement established as a contradiction between content and form in the constitution of social relations under the autonomous form of value (Wertform). It relates the immanent reading of the third book with other Marxian texts and, in a synchronic way, problematizes Marx's formulations regarding the contemporaneity of the digital age, with the purpose of demonstrating the actuality of Marxian criticism in the present time.
