Reducing unmonitored population density of stray animals in Istanbul

In Istanbul, Turkey there are countless stray cats and dogs lacking basic shelter and medical care. Though fed by food and water left out, these can becomes areas of disease and injuries. A possible way to prevent this is to ban food left out by those who do bring in animals to be treated, as well as further encouraging the adoption of stray animals. By contacting a major Turkish animal rights group on this proposed solution, we hope to encourage change in that region to improve the lives of cats and dogs.
