Резиме: САРМ (Capital Asset Pricing Model) или модел вредновања капиталне активе, развили су William Shape, John Lintner и Jan Mossion почетком 60 – их година 20. вијека, на бази ранијих радова Harry Markowitz-a, и као такав, модел се налази усамом средишту економске теорије и савремених финансија. Као модел, први пут га је представио William Shape, који је 1990. године добио Нобелову награду за економију. Овај модел вредновања капиталне активе омогућава инвеститорима прецизно предвиђање односа између ризика и приноса одговарајућег финансијског инструмента и користи се у три битне сврхе. Као прво, омогуђава инвеститорима да израчунају очекивану стопу приноса одговарајућег финансијског инструмента. Као друго, САРМ модел нам помаже да одредимо цијену акција приликом иницијалне јавне понуде. Трећа употреба САРМ модела се односи на одређивање цијене акцијског капитала као властитог извора финансирања предузећа.Иако модел није емпиријски потврђен и подложан је критикама појединих аутора, његова примјена је широка, искључиво због прецизног одређивања односа између ризика и приноса појединих финансијских инструмената и довољне тачности за многе важне примјене. Summary: CAPM (Capital Assets Pricing Model) has been developed by William Shape, John Lintner and Jan Mossion in the early 1960s, on foundations of earlier works of Harry Markowiz and the model it self is in the core of economics’ theory and modern finance. Model was introduced by William Shape, who received Nobel prize in economics in 1990.This model of equity assessment enables investors to forecast precise risk and yield relation in financial instrument and it is being used in three main purposes. First, enables investors to calculate the expected rate of return of financial instrument. Second, CAPM assist in share price determination in initial public offering (IPO). Third use of CAPM is determination of equity price as own source of funding. Although the model is not empirically verified and it is the subject of critiques by some authors, its use is broad because of precise determination of risk and yield relation in financial instruments and his appropriate accuracy.
