産業分野では製品を構成する部品は多様であり,モデルチェ ンジが早いので完全な自動化システムの構築が難しく,人によ る作業が含まれる.そこでシステムの効率やコストを改善でき る,汎用ロボットハンドが望まれている.いくつかの汎用ハン ドが研究・開発されているが [1]~[11],本研究では高い柔軟性 と簡便な制御システムをもつタコの吸盤を模倣した吸着グリッ パに注目した [12]~[20]. 無脊椎動物であるタコはその筋肉を使い,腕や吸盤を柔軟に 動かすことができる.タコの吸盤は Fig. 1 (a)に示すように負 圧の発生に使うくぼんだ球状の筋肉(acetabulum)と対象との 密着に使う漏斗状の筋肉(infundibulum)がある [21].吸盤に は Fig. 1 (b),(c)に示すように漏斗部にくびれがあり,吸着す る面には放射状と同心円状の溝や微小な突起がある.これらは 吸盤の柔軟性や吸着力を高める役割があると考えられている. そこで本研究では,これまでに開発したFig. 2に示す吸着原理 を模倣した吸着グリッパ [20]に,タコの漏斗の外形や微小な溝 を模倣した吸盤構造を付与して,これらの構造が吸着性能に与 える影響を調べた.
