To find the adequate brush pressure on a D. C. machine, we photographed the commutating wave form. About the brush used for sample, we found no great variation over 300 g/cm2 in the commutating wave form, and it was the same relation as about the static characteristic of contact resistance -to brush pressure, measured under running electric current.
