En analysant les résultats de plusieurs recherches, l’auteur démontre pourquoi la pensée formelle, qui est considérée comme une condition nécessaire du développement moral de l’adolescent, n’entraîne pas la constitution d’une morale autonome. L’identification des obstacles qui entravent l’exercice de la pensée formelle dans son application au domaine moral le conduit à proposer une approche holistique du développement moral qui permette de mieux définir le rôle de l’éducation et la nature de ses interventions.Based on an analysis of the results of several studies, the author demonstrates that formal reasoning, considered a necessary condition for adolescents' moral development, does not produce autonomous moral conduct. The author identifies the obstacles that prevent the application of formal reasoning to the area of moral development and proposes a holistic approach to describe moral development and to define the role of the educator and the nature of his interventions.Al analizar los resultados de varios estudios, el autor demuestra las razones por las cuales el pensamiento formal, no produce un sentido de moral autonoma aunque este sea considerado como condicion necesaria al desarrallo moral del adolescente. La identificacion de obstaculos que bloquean el ejecricio del pensamiento formal y su aplicacion al sector moral permite al autor proponer un enfoque holistico del desarrollo moral para definir mejor el rol del educador y la naturaleza de sus intervenciones.Durch eine Analyse der Ergebnisse mehrerer Untersuchungen zeigt der Verfasser auf, warum das Formaldenken, das als notwendige Voraussetzung der Moralentwicklung des Jugendlichen gilt, nicht unbedingt den Aufbau einer autonomen Moral mit sich bringt. Die Identifizierung der Hindernisse, die die Ausübung des Formaldenkens in seiner Anwendung auf moralischem Gebiet hemmen, bringt ihn dazu, eine holistische Ansicht der moralischen Entwicklung vorzuschlagen, mit deren Hilfe man die Rolle des Erziehers und die Art seines Einwirkens besser definieren kann
