Utilisant le concept de besoin en éducation proposé par R. Kaufman, nous avons tenté d’évaluer les besoins de formation des enseignants se destinant à l’enseignement du français, langue maternelle, au cycle secondaire intermédiaire en Ontario. Notre enquête nous porte à conclure qu’au cours de l’année de formation on doit d’abord privilégier les éléments d’ordre linguistique et culturel, notamment la conscientisation de l’étudiant-maître envers le fait francophone en Ontario.Within the framework of R. Kaufman's concept of needs in education, the authors have attempted to evaluate the needs of teacher training for those intending to teach French, mother tongue, at the secondary level in Ontario. The results of this survey suggest that during the year training period, one must stress learnings of a linguistic and cultural nature—specifically regarding the sensitivity or consciousness of the student-teacher toward the francophone element in Ontario.Se trató de evaluar las necesidades de formación de los profesores que se destinan a la enseñanza del francés, lengua materna, en el ciclo secundario intermediario en Ontario. Esta evaluación se hizo usando el concepto de necesidad en educación propuesto por R. Kaufman. Nuestra encuesta nos lleva a la conclusion que durante el año de formación se deben privilegiar primeramente los elementos de tipo lingüísticos y culturales, especialmente la concientización del estudiante-profesor hacia el fenómeno francófilo en Ontario.Mithilfe des von R. Kaufman vorgeschlagenen Begriffes des Bedarfs im Erziehungswesen haben wir die Ausbildungsbedürfnisse für die Lehrkräfte herauszustellen versucht, die sich auf das Unterrichten des Französischen als Muttersprache an höheren Schulen in Ontario vorbereiten. Auf Grund unserer Studie kommen wir zu dem Schluss, dass man im Verlauf des Ausbildungsjahres vor allem sprachwissenschaftliche und kulturelle Faktoren fördern solle, insbesondere, um dem Lehrerstudenten die Situation der Frankophonie in Ontario zum Bewusstsein zu bringen
