Dans le but de vérifier l’efficacité de certains critères, empiriques ou statistiques, utilisés pour fin de détermination du nombre de facteurs dans une analyse factorielle, 125 matrices échantillonnales provenant de deux matrices paramètres sont soumises à deux solutions factorielles. Les effets de la taille des échantillons et des communautés des variables sont également explorés. Les résultats obtenus permettent d’identifier les conditions d’utilisation de ces critères.With the objectif of studying the efficiency of certain empirical or statistical criteria used to determine the number of factors to extract in a factor analysis, 125 sample matrices representing two matrix parameters were subjected to two factorial solutions. The effects of sample size and of the communalities of variables are also explored. The results permitted to identify the conditions under which these criteria are to be employed.Con el objeto de verificar la eficacia de ciertos criterios, empíricos o estadísticos, utilizados con fines de determinar el número de factores de un análisis factorial, se sometieron a dos soluciones factoriales 125 matrices de muestras provenientes de dos matrices parámetros. Los efectos del tamaño de las muestras y de las comunidades de variables son igualmente exploradas. Los resultados obtenidos permiten la identificación de las condiciones de utilización de esos criterios.Um die Wirksamkeit gewisser empirischer oder statistischer Kriterien zu prüfen, die zur Bestimmung der Faktorenzahl in einer faktoriellen Analyse verwendet werden, unterwerfen wir 125 Mustergitter aus zwei als Parameter dienenden Gitterschemata zwei faktoriellen Lösungen. Die Auswirkung der Grösse der Stichprobenauswahl und der Gemeinsamkeiten unter den Variablen werden ebenfalls untersucht. Die so gefundenen Ergebnisse erlauben die Identifizierung der Bedingungen, die bei der Verwendung dieser Kriterien nötig sind
