Cette étude porte sur les questions oui/non et l’opérateur de force illocutoire -tu en français québécois, qui peut apparaître en cooccurrence avec le marqueur de négation phrastique pas. Il est rappelé que -tu constitue alors une tête fonctionnelle qui identifie les traits grammaticaux d’une tête verbale (temps, mode, phi) dans des expressions de type illocutoire (expressions évaluatives, commandes, expressions de surprise dans le discours narratif, questions oui/non). Dans les structures interrogatives, -tu identifie certains types sémantiques de questions oui/non et peut s’associer au marqueur de négation phrastique pas uniquement lorsque ce dernier a une interprétation explétive. Par contre, l’opérateur [+Q] -tu des questions oui/non de type informatif est incompatible avec tout marqueur de négation, explétive ou de force négative. D’où l’impossibilité d’interpréter *Tu viens-tu pas? dans cette grammaire.This study deals with Yes/No questions and the illocutionary force operator -tu in Quebec French, which can co-occur with the sentential negation marker pas. It is mentioned that -tu is then a functional head which identifies the grammatical features (tense, mood, phi) of a verbal head in illocutionary force expressions (evaluatives, commands, expressions of surprise in narrative discourse, yes/no questions). In question forms, -tu identifies certain semantic types of Yes/No questions and can combine with the sentential negation marker pas only when it bears an expletive interpretation. However, the operator [+Q] of informative questions with -tu is incompatible with all negation markers, whether it is expletive or used with negative force. This situation therefore explains the impossibility of interpreting *Tu viens-tu pas? (You are coming-TU PAS?) in this grammar
