Cet article examine l’emploi de la construction « accusatif avec infinitif » avec les verbes causatifs et de perception en moyen français. Cette construction, rare en ancien français avec les verbes causatifs, commence à apparaître plus fréquemment en moyen français. Deux textes de cette époque ont été systématiquement dépouillés : Les Cent Nouvelles Nouvelles Anonymes et Les Cent Nouvelles Nouvelles de Vigneulles. L’examen de trois facteurs, la position du SN sujet, le cas assigné au sujet et la montée des clitiques objets montre que l’emploi de cette construction est déterminé par la nature du verbe principal. Cette construction est surtout utilisée avec les verbes de perception, moins souvent avec laisser et presque pas avec faire. Je propose que ce changement de fréquence d’utilisation de la construction imperméable est dû à l’exploitation du mouvement du sujet de l’infinitif de la position spécifieur de VP à la position spécifieur de IP. Seuls les verbes qui peuvent assigner un cas acceptent la construction imperméable.The use of the construction "accusative with an infinitive" with causative verbs and verbs of perception in Middle French is examined in this paper. This construction was rare in Old French with causative verbs and started to appear more frequently in Middle French. Two Middle French texts were studied in detail: Les Cent Nouvelles Nouvelles by an anonymous author and Les Cent Nouvelles Nouvelles by Vigneulles. The examination of three factors, the position of the NP subject, the case assigned to the subject and object clitic climbing shows that the use of this construction depends on the nature of the main verb. This construction is mainly used with verbs of perception, less often with laisser and almost never with faire. I propose that the change in the frequency of use of the impermeable construction is due to the more frequent application of the movement of the subject of the infinitive from [SPEC VP] to [SPEC IP]; only verbs which assign a case are used in the impermeable construction
