Cette étude traite de l'organisation romanesque et de la thématique deJacques (1834), un roman épistolaire de George Sand qui orchestre des thèmes majeurs de l'oeuvre sandienne : l'éducation et la sexualité féminines, l'androgynie, le mariage, l'inceste. Sur le modèle dela Nouvelle Héloïse (1761) de Jean-Jacques Rousseau,Jacques reprend des procédés du genre épistolaire, tout en renouvelant le traitement de thèmes romantiques : l'amour, la relation entre frère et soeur, l'inceste.À travers une structure polyphonique et un discours parodique sur le romanesque, l'auteure remet en question les rôles socioculturels traditionnels et défend une conception égalitaire des relations hommes-femmes.This critique features the organization and themes ofJacques (1834), a George Sand's epistolary novel which orchestrates some major topics of the works of George Sand: feminine education and sexuality, androgyny, matrimony and incest. Modelled on Jean-Jacques Rousseau'sla Nouvelle Héloïse (1761),Jacques borrows procedures from the epistolary novel, but changes the treatment of romantic topics: love, the relationship between brothers and sisters, and incest.Through a polyphonic structure and ironical discourse on fiction, the author reconsiders traditional roles in society and upholds an egalitarian concept of the relation of men and women
