Nous prenons comme point de départ le flux rythmique d'un cosmos organique caractérisé par ce que Friedrich Schlegel appelle son agilité éternelle. Conformément à cette doctrine métaphysique, l'ironie romantique articule le moment funambulesque où l'objet esthétique vacille entre l'autocréation et l'autodestruction. Cette étude examinera l'application de la théorie de l'ironie romantique à l'esthétique baudelairienne, notamment dans la danse cosmique de la « vibrativité » organique telle qu'elle apparaît dans « la grande symphonie du jour » (« De la couleur », Salon de 1846), ainsi que dans l'architecture cinétique de « la Fanfarlo ». La métaphore de la danseuse, avec son eurythmie paradoxale, doit se comprendre en fin de compte comme le répondant allégorique du texte cinétique qui ne peut s'affirmer que dans son auto-anéantissement.We take as our starting point the rhythmic flux of an organismic cosmos imbued with what Friedrich Schlegel terms its eternal agility. The ro-mantic aesthetic artefact, in accordance with this metaphysical doctrine, is articulated as a funambulatory moment, vacillating as it does between selfcreation and selfdestruction. This study will examine the manner in which the theory of Romantic Irony can be applied to Baudelaire's aesthetics, and more particularly to the cosmic dance or organismic vibrativity as made manifest in "la grande symphonie du jour" ("De la couleur", Salon de 1846), and the kinetic architecture of "la Fanfarlo". In the final analysis, the paradoxical eurhythmics of the dance metaphor must be apprehended as the symbolic analogue of the kinetic text which can only be realized in and through its selfannihilation
