Notre recherche s’interesse au travail des enseignants autochtones en univers social qui evoluent dans la communaute mohawke de Kahnawake a l’ecole primaire Kateri Tekakwitha. Nous avons recolte nos donnees a l’aide d’un questionnaire aupres de huit enseignantes, de techniques d’evocation et d’entrevues semi-dirigees aupres de six enseignantes. Ces resultats nous permettent d’affirmer que le programme est centre sur la culture autochtone et surtout mohawk, les techniques d’enseignement declarees sont surtout magistrocentrees et l’outil didactique le plus prise est le recit. Le programme diffuse est construit selon la continuite culturelle du groupe qui a subi le colonialisme. On enseigne beaucoup la culture traditionnelle avec la tradition orale. Les recits des enseignants utilises sont souvent tires du repertoire familial.  ELEMENTARY SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHING FROM AN INDIGENOUS POINT OF VIEW  This study is interested in the work of Indigenous teachers in social science at the Kateri Tekakwitha elementary school on the Kahnawake Mohawk reserve. We collected our data with the help of a questionnaire completed by eight teachers, using evocation techniques and semi structured interviews for six teachers. The results indicate that the program is centered on Indigenous culture, specifically Mohawk. The stated teaching approach is mainly teacher-centric and the most utilized didactic tool is storytelling. The program is based on the cultural continuity of a group who was subjected to colonialism. Oral tradition is used widely to teach traditional culture, and teachers’ stories are often drawn from family repertoire.
