L’orthodoxie anglaise quant à la réception en droit interne des obligations conventionnelles internationales veut que celles-ci ne puissent avoir aucun effet sans mise en oeuvre par voie législative. Dans ce qui suit, l’auteur soutient que l’orthodoxie simplifie à outrance et que certains jugements des juges québécois de la Cour suprême du Canada ont, à juste titre, éloigné la position canadienne de cette orthodoxie, mais sans l’abandonner complètement.The English orthodoxy on the reception of international treaty obligations in domestic law is that they can have no legal effect without statutory implementation. In this article, I argue that the orthodoxy is too simple, and that judgments of Québec justices of the Supreme Court of Canada have rightly moved Canadian law away from the orthodoxy, without abandoning it entirely.Para la ortodoxia inglesa, en lo referente a la recepción de los tratados internacionales en el derecho interno es que éstos no poseen efecto jurídico, sin antes haber sido sancionados por vía legislativa. En este artículo, planteo que la ortodoxia es demasiado simple, y que algunas decisiones de los jueces quebequenses de la Corte Suprema de Canadá han alejado apropiadamente al derecho canadiense de esta ortodoxia, sin haberla abandonado completamente
