Il existe diverses manières de relier la recherche et l’action. On doit à ce proposposer au moins deux questions :Il faut commencer par envisager les allégeances du chercheur en vue de déterminer àquelles conditions les intérêts et les préoccupations du chercheur ne porteront paspréjudice à ceux qui ont affaire à lui. Il faut ensuite que s’établisse un rapportcontractuel entre le chercheur et les gens auprès desquels est menée une recherche-action etque ces derniers puissent exercer un contrôle démocratique sur le déroulement de larecherche.Action et recherche peuvent-elles fusionner ? Que devient alors le savoir ? Sans laconstitution d’un savoir disposant d’une relative autonomie par rapport à chaque situationparticulière, on se prive des armes de la critique que sont la raison et l’expérience. Cesont là les repères contre l’arbitraire de la recherche et du chercheur.There are various ways to link research to action. We should ask ourselves at leasttwo questions: (1) in whose interests is R-A? (2) What happens to knowledge produced byR-A?One must begin by analysing the allegiances of the researcher in an attempt todetermine on what conditions his own interests and concerns may come into conflict withthose of the group with which he is working. Secondly, there must be some kind of acontractual relationship that can be democratically controlled.Can action and research fuse together? What happens to the knowledge produced?Without a relatively independent status for knowledge, is there not a danger of losing thecritical contribution of reason and experience? Without this contribution are we not indanger of reintroducing the arbitrary nature of the research and researcher back into theprocess of producing knowledge?Hay diferentes modos de relacionar la investigación y la acción. Es necesariohacerse por lo menos dos preguntas: ¿A quién sirve la investigación-acción? ¿Qué sentidotiene el saber en la investigación-acción?El punto de partida es el análisis de las relaciones del investigador, paradeterminar hasta qué punto sus intereses y sus preocupaciones podrían ser lesivos para losque trabajarán con él. Es necesario luego establecer una relación contractual entre elinvestigador y aquellos que son el objeto de una investigación-acción, y que éstos puedanejercer un control democrático sobre el desarrollo de la investigación.¿Es posible fusionar la acción y la investigación? ¿Y qué sentido adquiere elsaber? Sin la constitución de un saber que dispondría de una relativa autonomía respecto acada situación particular no existe el instrumental de la crítica, que es la razón y laexperiencia.
