Cet article touche une catégorie très mal connue, en France même : le personnel communal. L’auteur mentionne une difficulté majeure, celle de rendre compte d’une formation permanente qui s’adresse à des agents diversifiés en proie au problème de leur atomisation professionnelle.Situant ces divers acteurs en regard de l’idée même de formation permanente, il prend un exemple particulier, la préparation aux concours administratifs et fixe quelques orientations pour l’avenir, tout en se gardant d’être catégorique devant ce domaine mouvant et vaste ouvert par les nouvelles lois sur les collectivités locales en France.This article describes the situation of municipal employees in France in relation to educational training possibilities. The author emphasizes the difficulty involved in providing educational possibilities for such a diversified group, especially in a context characterized by ever-increasing specialization.After analyzing the various responses of these employees concerning continuing education, the author chooses to focus on one example: the process of preparation for professional advancement examinations. He offers some suggestions for improvement but at the same time calls for much more attention to be paid to this area which has been profoundly affected by recent legislation concerning administrative and political decentralization in France.Este artículo describe una categoría aún poco conocida, aún en Francia: el personal comunal. El autor menciona como dificultad mayor la de explicar una formación permanente que se dirige a una diversidad de agentes, presas del problema de su atomización profesional.Situando estos actores diversos en relación a la idea misma de la formación permanente, él toma como ejemplo la preparación a los concursos administrativos, y fija algunas orientaciones para el futuro, evitando sin embargo el ser categórico en este campo vasto y en movimiento, creado por las nuevas leyes sobre las colectividades locales en Francia
