Cet article rend compte d’une étude qualitative sur les besoins d’information dans quelques groupes communautaires au Québec. L’étude comporte un double intérêt. En raison du peu de documentation sur le sujet, on y trouvera un intérêt au strict plan factuel. Par ailleurs, le contexte de l’utilisation de l’information dans ces groupes fait ressortir le double caractère de l’information. L’information y est tantôt un intrant, tantôt un extrant. Comprendre cette logique est nécessaire afin de concevoir les services d’information les plus appropriés visant ces groupes.This article reports the findings of a study of the information needs of several community groups in Québec. The study pursued two objectives. On the one hand, it describes their information needs, thereby filling a gap in the literature. Secondly, it illustrates the ways information is used by community groups. Information can, in one instance, be used and in another, be a product. Understanding this situation is necessary if better ways of providing information services to these groups are to be developped.Este artículo da cuenta de un estudio cualitativo sobre las necesidades de la información en algunos grupos comunitarios de la provincia de Quebec. El estudio comporta un interés doble. Debido a la casi no existencia de documentación sobre el tema, vamos a encontrar un interés solamente en el plan factual. Por otra parte, el contexto de la utilización de la documentación en estos grupos hace resaltar el doble caracter de la información. Comprender esta lógica es necesaria para concebir los servicios de información los más pertinentes para estos grupos
