L’article cherche à interroger la consistance du pouvoir subversif de l’économie sociale et solidaire (ESS). Il s’agit de voir en quoi les pratiques de cette économie dite alternative sont matériellement subversives, ou du moins se différencient de celles qui prévalent dans les sous-espaces économiques où elles évoluent. Dans cette perspective, notre objet consiste à voir si ceux qui placent leurs pratiques économiques sous le référent ESS sont porteurs d’intentions de transformation en matière de normes économiques, ou s’ils sont mus par d’autres objectifs.This paper investigates what substance there is to the subversive power of the social economy. The purpose is to see how the practices of this so-called alternative economy are materially subversive or at least different from those prevailing in the economic subareas in which they are found. From this perspective, our aim is to determine whether those who refer to their practices as being part of the social economy are driven by an intention to transform economic norms or whether they have other objectives
