International audienceIf the support of entrepreneurs is a research topic constantly growing, there is few works available on the support of company buyers. This article focuses on the specific needs of entrepreneurs who are buying existing businesses and on the way they could be effectively assisted. Based on a test project conducted at a European level on a sample of 889 business transfers, the authors confirm empirically the relevance of a particular form of support: external tutoring. They also show in what kind of situations and for what type of buyers tutoring is most beneficial.Si l’accompagnement entrepreneurial est un champ de recherche en croissance, il existe encore peu de travaux sur l’accompagnement « repreneurial ». Cet article s’intéresse donc à la spécificité des besoins des repreneurs en matière d’accompagnement post-reprise et aux formes que cet accompagnement peut prendre.
