Sa bibliographie compte plus d’une douzaine de livres consacrés à son objet de prédilection et documentant les métiers sédentaires, les métiers d’aventures et les métiers ambulants. Bref, on peut dire de cette chercheuse indépendante qu’elle a inventé une profession : celle de nous faire connaître les métiers d’autrefois et de nous présenter la vie quotidienne de ces gens au cours de différentes époques.Jeanne Pomerleau is fascinated by all the trades practiced by our ancestors dating back to New France. She has accomplished extensive research that has led her over time to consolidate the results of these findings into several books. Determined, passionate, organized and especially motivated, she never deviates from her goal. Her bibliography contains more than a dozen books on this topic that she is so passionate about, where she documents sedentary occupations, adventurous occupations and also trades that require travelling. In short, we can claim that this independent researcher has in fact invented a profession : one that makes us aware of the trades of the past and helps to illustrate the daily lives of these people in different eras
