Les résultats de cette recherche, effectuée dans trois grandes industries manufacturières de l’Estrie, portent sur le thème de l’accueil et de l’adaptation au poste de travail. À partir de l’analyse des récits de nou­veaux employés, nous avons dégagé de leur première journée à l’usine des modalités d’accueil en entreprise et d’entraînement au poste de tra­vail. Nous examinons ces modalités en fonction du phénomène de l’actualisation de l’employabilité (passage du virtuel au réel). Ce pro­cessus d’actualisation est traité et conçu comme un cheminement par­ticulier et comme le résultat d’un processus d’adaptation.The results of this research, conducted in three large industries in Quebec's Eastern Townships, look at how employees are greeted and helped to adapt to their job. Based on interviews of newly-hired employees, the authors have gathered data about the industries' policies for new employees regarding their greeting and the training they receive on that day. Those policies are examined under the terms of the phenomenon of the passage of the virtual to the actual in the matter of employment. This process is conceived and treated as particular progression and as the result of a process of adaptation
