La criminalité féminine est caractérisée par des crimes de nature économique oucommerciale. Des programmes communautaires peuvent offrir aux contrevenantes une solution derechange au processus pénal. Dans cet article, nous présentons les résultats d’uneévaluation du programme « Entraide Vol à l’Étalage » (E.V.E.). Il s’agit d’un programmeprésentenciel offrant aux femmes accusées de vol à l’étalage ou d’autres délits à caractèreéconomique, au Québec, la possibilité de participer à un programme d’éducation et deprévention. Les résultats démontrent que les femmes qui participent au programme E.V.E.reçoivent des sentences plus clémentes et présentent moins de récidives que des femmes ayantcommis des délits de même nature, mais n’ayant pas suivi le programme.Crimes that are committed by women are typically economic or commercial crimes.Community-based sanctions can offer an alternative to the criminal justice system and moretraditional sanctions. In this article we present the findings from an evaluation of the“Entraide Vol à l’Étalage” (E.V.E.) program, in Quebec. This program is offered prior tosentencing to women accused of shoplifting and other economic crimes. It is a learningprogram, which aims to educate and assist the women in order to prevent re-offending. Theresults show that women who participate in the program receive lighter sentences and areless likely to re-offend than a group of women who committed similar offences but did notparticipate in the program.La criminalidad femenina se caracteriza por delitos de índole económica ocomercial. Los programas alternativos efectuados en la comunidad pueden ofrecer a lasdelincuentes una alternativa al proceso penal. En el presente artículo presentamos losresultados de una evaluación del programa « Entraide Vol à l’Étalage » (E.V.E) –Grupo deapoyo frente al hurto-. Se trata de un programa previo a la sentencia que ofrece a lasmujeres acusadas de hurto u otros delitos de naturaleza económica en Québec, la posibilidadde participar a un programa de educación y de prevención. Los resultados demuestran que lasmujeres participantes del programa E.V.E. reciben sentencias más leves y son menosreincidentes que aquéllas mujeres que cometieron delitos del mismo tipo, pero que no hanseguido dicho programa
