Cet article se penche sur la contribution des écrivains Antoine Blondin, JacquesLaurent et Roger Nimier à la revue de La Table Ronde, entre sa fondation en janvier1948 et le mois de décembre 1952, alors que Bernard Frank les réunit sous le terme de« Hussards » dans un article de la revue concurrente Les Temps Modernes. Étudiantd’abord les conditions qui ont rendu cette collaboration possible, il examine ensuite dequelle(s) manière(s) Blondin, Laurent et Nimier se sont inscrits dans les sommaires deLa Table Ronde, qui se présente largement comme la gardienne de la liberté del’esprit, contre les dérives de l’engagement. Enfin, cet article interroge la place et lafonction des textes donnés à La Table Ronde en regard de la trajectoireindividuelle de chacun des Hussards, de façon aussi bien à saisir les linéaments de leur« écriture collective » que leur mode d’adhésion spécifique au littéraire.This article analyses the contribution to the monthly literary magazine LaTable Ronde of French writers Antoine Blondin, Jacques Laurent and Roger Nimier fromthe founding of the revue in January 1948 to the publication of an article in December 1952by the young critic, Bernard Frank. In Les Temps Modernes, a concurrentpublication, Frank grouped the three writers together, referring to them as “Hussards.”After a brief study of the conditions which made the Blondin, Laurent and Nimiercollaboration possible, this article examines their impact on the La Table Ronde’stables of contents, engaged as the journal was in a war with other periodicals and literarygroups over the notion of “liberté de l’esprit” (freedom of thought). Finally, the role oftexts written by the Hussards and published in La Table Ronde is interrogated interms of their “collective writing” and of their specific manner of adhering to theliterary
