À un moment où les transformations dans les industries des médias donnent lieu à de multiples inquiétudes, un groupe hétérogène de photojournalistes indiens articule des éléments de l’esthétique classique indienne ainsi que le concept de darshan avec le discours de l’instant décisif dans l’idée d’établir un champ local de possibilités photographiques. Cette esthétique particulière semble offrir le double avantage d’assurer la valeur morale des photojournalistes vétérans tout en protégeant la puissance universelle de la photographie des effets corrosifs du processus de marchandisation de l’industrie des médias d’informations.At a time when the transformations in the media industries are the source of growing anxiety, a heterogeneous group of Indian news photographers are articulating elements from the classical Indian aesthetic theory of the rasas as well as the concept of taking darshan with the discourse of the decisive moment in an attempt to establish what can be called an “Indian” field of photographic possibilities. This particular aesthetics seems to provide the double advantage of assuring the experienced photojournalists’ moral value while protecting photography’s universal power from the corrupting effects of the commodification process of the information media industry.En el momento en que las transformaciones de las industrias de los medios de comunicación hacen surgir muchas inquietudes, un grupo heterogéneo de fotoperiodistas hindús articulan elementos de la estética clásica hindú y del concepto de darshan con el discurso sobre el instante decisivo con la voluntad de establecer un campo local de posibilidades fotográficas. Esta estética particular parece ofrece la doble ventaja de asegurar el valor moral de los fotoperiodistas veteranos y al mismo tiempo proteger la potencia universal de la fotografía de los efectos corrosivos del proceso de mercantilización de la industria de los medios de información
