Les réseaux d’entreprises s’imposent comme une forme d’organisationincontournable du système productif contemporain. La théorie du capital socialfournit une grille originale (Nahapiet et Ghoshal, 1998) pour comprendre leurdéveloppement. Nos objectifs sont d’analyser la construction du capital social pouridentifier les facteurs du développement des réseaux d’entreprises. La rechercheporte sur l’étude d’un réseau Français de trente PME, spécialisé dans la filière dutravail des métaux. À l’heure où les pouvoirs publics s’interrogent sur lesconditions de réussite des réseaux d’entreprises labellisés, nos résultats proposentun éclairage complémentaire sur leur construction et plus spécifiquement surl’émergence et la mobilisation du capital social.Business networks are emerging as an indispensable form of organization inthe contemporary production system. The social capital theory provides an originalgrid (Nahapiet and Ghoshal, 1998) to understand their development. Our objectivesare to analyze the building of social capital to identify factors in the developmentof business networks. The research involves the study of a network of thirty FrenchSME’s specialized in the metalwork sector. At a time when governments arequestioning the conditions for the success of approved business networks our resultsoffer further insight into their building and more specifically on the emergence andmobilization of social capital.Las redes empresariales se imponen como une forma organizativa esencial en elsistema productivo contemporáneo. La teoría del capital social nos ofrece una matrizoriginal para entender su desarrollo (Nahapiet y Ghoshal, 1998). Entre nuestrosobjetivos se encuentran el análisis de la construcción del capital social a fin deidentificar los factores que favorecen las redes empresariales. La investigación secierne en el estudio de una red francesa de treinta PYMES, especializada en elsector de la metalurgia. En el preciso instante en que los poderes públicos estudianlas condiciones idóneas para que triunfen las redes de empresa debidamenteidentificadas, normalizadas, gracias a nuestro trabajo proponemos un enfoquecomplementario sobre la construcción de redes, y de forma específica sobre elcrecimiento y la movilización del capital social
