Cette étude porte sur la représentation de l’adolescente dans trois romans d’Anne Hébert où se matérialise l’agentivité des jeunes héroïnes appelées à s’énoncer selon leurs désirs et leurs valeurs, bien qu’elles rêvent d’un prince charmant. Il s’agit de montrer que les adolescentes, si préoccupées soient-elles par la quête d’un idéal amoureux, expriment leur dissidence à l’endroit d’un ordre patriarcal prônant l’assujettissement aux modèles de la femme traditionnelle. Si les jeunes protagonistes sont d’abord assujetties aux fictions du patriarcat, la prise de parole les transforme en de véritables sujets et les amène à franchir les étapes les projetant sur la voie de l’agentivité.This study deals with the representation of the female adolescent in three novels by Anne Hébert in which agency materializes for young heroines called upon to express themselves according to their desires and values, even though they may dream of a Prince Charming. It is a question of showing that adolescent girls, preoccupied as they may be with the quest for a romantic ideal, express their dissidence at the site of a patriarchal order that extols subjugation to models of the traditional woman. If these young protagonists are at first subjected to the fictions of patriarchy, the taking-up of speech transforms them into genuine subjects and leads them to pass through the stages that launch them onto the path of agency
