La prise en charge de la minorisation culturelle et sociale des anglophones au Québec depuis les années 60 a provoqué diverses réponses collectives parmi les communautés anglophones à Montréal, en particulier parmi celles qui ont vécu au Québec avant l’institution des politiques de francisation. Depuis le référendum de 1980, un discours d’identité civique fondé sur une série de récits historiques et culturels teintés de nostalgie a émergé parmi ce groupe. Cet article esquisse et examine les éléments constitutifs de ce discours grâce à une analyse des oeuvres de William Weintraub; puis ce même discours est examiné dans la triple perspective de ses mécanismes interpellateurs, de ses interlocuteurs, et de sa relation avec les discours collectifs sur l’identité québécoise.The taking into account of the cultural and social minoritization of Quebec's anglophones since the 1960s has provoked a set of collective responses among Montreal's anglophone communities, specifically among those that lived in Quebec prior to the movement towards francization. Since the 1980 referendum, a discourse of civic identity has emerged among this group built around a series of historical and cultural narratives that are deeply nostalgic in tone. The constitutive elements of this discourse are sketched out and examined through an analysis of the works of William Weintraub. This discourse is then examined in terms of its interpellative properties, its intended interlocutors, and its relationship to discourses of Quebec collective identity
