Un estran large de 640 m et d’une superficie de 1 km2 a été étudié à l’anse aux Canards, près de l’extrémité aval de l’île d’Orléans. L’anse est ouverte au nord-est et donne à la fois sur le chenal de l’île d’Orléans et sur l’estuaire moyen du Saint-Laurent. Une coupe naturelle permet une reconstitution stratigraphique de l’évolution de l’estran. À la base, un diamicton glacio-marin daté de 11 200 ans BP peut être associé à une dernière avancée glaciaire dans la mer de Goldthwait et canalisée dans l’axe du Saint-Laurent. Viennent ensuite des sables et graviers déposés en zone intertidale et datés de 1220 ans BP. Pardessus, on retrouve des sédiments intertidaux attribués à un environnement de slikke et contenant de petits lits de tourbe fossilisés et datés de 790 ans BP à 1500 ans BP. L’analyse pollinique de cette tourbe indique que la végétation régionale au temps du dépôt était caractéristique de l’érablière laurentienne. L’analyse de macro-restes révèle aussi que la végétation littorale était la même qu’aujourd'hui et typique d’une zone intertidale en eaux douces. Les matériaux du schorre constituent la dernière unité stratigraphique en surface. Cinq zones géomorphologiques correspondant à de larges, mais modestes dénivellations topographiques, ont été identifiées à la surface du schorre. Les concentrations de mares glacielles et de radeaux de schorre ainsi que les aires d’érosion et d’accumulation peuvent être en grande partie associées aux modalités du déglacement printanier en fonction du gradient-inondation. Par interprétation de photos aériennes, on note que le schorre a reculé de quelques dizaines de mètres à sa limite inférieure entre 1963 et 1978.A tidal marsh 640 m wide and 1 km2 in area was studied at Anse aux Canards near the downstream end of Orléans Island. The bay is opened to the northeast onto "le chenal de l'île d'Orléans" and the St. Lawrence middle estuary. A natural section in a stream bank provides a stratigraphie record of the tidal marsh evolution. At the bottom, a glacio-marine till dated 11,200 years BP may be correlated to a last glacial ice advance in the Goldthwait Sea following the topographic trend of the St. Lawrence River Valley. The next stratigraphie unit is made of intertidal sands and gravels dated 1220 years BP. Overlying them are muds belonging to a tidal flat environment and including thin peat beds which have been dated from 790 to 1500 years BP. Pollen analysis of the peat reveals that regional vegetation at the time of deposition was characteristic of the Laurentian maple forest (Aceretum sacchari). Macro-remains analysis indicates a marsh vegetation identical to today's and typical of a fresh water tidal environment. The last stratigraphie surface unit consists of an intertidal marsh deposit. On the present marsh surface, five ge-omorphic zones have been identified; they represent wide topographic features of low vertical amplitude. Patterns of ice-made pans and "schorre-rafts" as well as areas of erosion and sedimentation on the marsh surface can be associated with the processes of schorre-ice break-up and melting at spring, which are regulated by the tidal oscillations. The lower tidal marsh boundary has retreated some 60 m from 1963 to 1978 as evidenced by the study of aerial photographs.L'Anse aux Canards, Ile d'Orléans, Québec: Holozän Entwicklung und heutige Dynamik. Über diesen findet man die Schlikke des Wattenmeeres, welche dünne Torfschichten enthalten, die von 790 bis 1500 Jahren v.u.Z. datiert wurden. Pollenanalysen des Tortes zeigen das die régionale Vegetation zur Zeit der Ablagerung dem karakteristischen, lorentischen Ahornwald (Aceretum Sacchari) entspricht. Die Analyse der Makro-Reste zeigt eine Marschvegetation die der heutigen entspricht und typisch für eine Frischwasser Gezeiten Umwelt ist. Die letzte startigraphische Oberflächeneinheit besteht aus einer Gezeiten-Marsch-Ablagerung. An der heutigen Marschoberfläche, wurden fünf geomorphische Zonen identifiziert. Muster von glaziellen Pfannen, Schorre, sowohl als such Gegenden von Erosion und Sedimentation an der Marschoberfläche können den Vorgängen des Schorre Eisbruches und dem Tauen im Frühling beigeordnet werden. Die untere Wattgrenze hat sich von 1963-1978 ca 60m durch Erosion zurückgezogen, wie sich aus Laftaufnahmen ersehen lässt
